This website and blog was to be all about outdoor summer craft tours at Cartwright, Labrador. Well, it is winter now and we are involved in outdoor things, and craft .
But we aren't teaching,
This is the latest at Mealy Mountain Gallery and Fantasy Studios. We are sewing the horse pads for Material Horse. Right now the images are themed from the book Twilight. Horse pads and t-shirts can be purchased on line only.
If you have difficulty finding out how to order, send me an e-mail, labradorcraft@gmail.com
Tom and George are screening the images with waterbased, non toxic inks.

Weather has turned mild here in Labrador. We had January weather in December and now that January is here it is raining. Snowman making weather today. I don't want the winter to end yet even though I am preparing for the summer tours.
Yesterday I began designing new patterns for the summer craft programs. Check out my other websites, www.experiencelabrador.com and www.mealymountaingallery.com

Well the old year is nearly over and I am preparing for summer tours for 2009.
This year I will be offering craft tours in remote spots along the Labrador coast. I will be taking people by open boat or kayak to some of the most scenic, prestine spots in North America. We will camp, learn new crafting techniques, or just share as we soak up the heritage and culture of The Big Land.
The line up so far looks like this
Silk Painting, Fabric Painting, Rug Hooking, Embroidery, Making Jewelry from wire and found objects.
